Give thanks

this week we will celebrate Thanksgiving so I fiigured I'd blog about what I'm thankful for. Some of this may seem like a repetition but I really am thankful for them. First I am thankful that God gave me a chance to do things right and to see the world from a different perspective. I am also am thankful for my family that has never treated me like I was different. Without my family I would probably be in a wheelchair still but they gave me a reason to get better. I am also thankful for all of the oppurtunities I've had in my life even though I didn't always get what I wanted I always had enough and thats all we need. Lastly, whether or not I've helped anyone with my blog I am thankful for learning how to do it because it has helped me tremendously.

Welcome to the half of a kind blog. the purpose of my blog is to give the reader insight of challenges that a stroke victim may encounter on a daily basis from the perspective of a person that has experienced a stroke. A physician or neurologist can tell you what is going on with your body if you have had a stroke but they could never fully understand your situation unless they experience a stroke themselves. I also intend to encourage stroke victims to never give up on themselves and to look at a stroke like a second chance of life.I am also writing this blog with the hope that helping others will help me as well I can walk and use my arm but I am still doing therapy on my wrist, ankle, and fingers. Being one of a kind means a person is unique but for an individual like myself, who has suffered a stroke, not many people can relate.Being half of a kind does not make you less unique because not many can say they have gone through the same challenges as a stroke survivor so being half of a kind is a distinction that truly makes you one of a kind.
